Is no one on staff an artist or graphic designer? Throwing an image right next to an unplanned color will fuck up the perception of your colors (color theory??). Not only is it hugely visually distracting to have WHITE ON TOP and a hard tangent border of an unplanned color on the side, but this is the exact same thing wrong with DeviantART: That ugly ass green framing every image. But at least on DeviantART it isn’t running into a stark border and framed with two different contrasts and shades.
