So weird because Michael Brown’s parents have literally been advocating peace since the beginning. And they continue to do so now that this decision is near. 

“My family and I are hurting. Our whole region is hurting. I thank you for lifting your voices to interracial profiling and police intimidation. But hurting others or destroying property is not the answer,” he said. “No matter what the grand jury decides, I do not want my son’s death to be in vain. I want it to lead to incredible change, positive change, change that makes the St. Louis region better for everyone.”

That was Michael Brown’s father 4 days ago, when the decision was approaching. 

“I just want y’all to be careful. Don’t agitate them, don’t let them agitate y’all. I don’t want nobody getting hurt. We all willing to do something, but I don’t want nobody getting hurt, see what I’m saying? Because when it’s time to walk into the courtroom, I want all y’all with me.”

That was Michael Brown’s mother.

And they’ve been saying basically the exact same thing since the very beginning.

You seem to be a fan of the IDEA of standing up for oneself. The IDEA of people protesting and making their voices heard. The IDEA of a revolution. But a real world scenario is just bullshit to you? Okay then. I guess it’s only okay when fictional characters are being shit on.

Oh and FYI “fire is catching and if we burn, you burn with us,” is being shouted by these protestors today. But their real life revolution is bullshit, right?
